CMT touring artist Eric Durrance formed the Tobacco Rd Band in 2010. The
Tallahassee 4 piece band came out of the gate running in and has accomplished
in less than a year what some bands spend a lifetime trying to do. Powered by the
songwriting of Eric Durance , the soulful guitar playing of Lex Vance, the solid bass
playing of Aaron Halford, and the feel good rhythm of drummer Joe Markham, The
Tobacco Rd Band has been a hit since the first time they stepped on the stage.
Front man Eric Durrance who opened for Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum on the 2008
CMT tour has returned to his roots in Tallahassee Florida where he has formed what
he calls the dream team. “ These are some of the best musicians that I have had the
privilege to share the stage with” Eric says. Eric also co-wrote the top 10 hit Eight
Second Ride recorded by country singer Jake Owen. The success of the song has
opened many doors for Tobacco Rd and continues to be a favorite in their set list.
1031 The Wolf in Tallahassee and Xm satellite radio channel Nashville 11 has also
embraced there sound by playing 3 songs of there debut cd “Coming back Around”.
Their fan base keeps growing everyday as people from all over the world discover
their music. The band has also teamed up with Coors Light in 2010 and is proud to
have them as a sponsor. Together they have big plans and dreams for the future of
Tobacco Rd.
Tobacco Rd has played shows with Jake Owen and Brantley Gilbert and has
headlined their own shows on countless stages in the Big Bend area. This rocking
band is here to stay, so hold on tight cause its gonna be wilder than any EIGHT
SECOND RIDE!
